What we collect and why
When you enquire, we collect your name, telephone number, job postcode and description of the work. You may also provide an email address and photographs. We use this information to respond, discuss the work, prepare quotations and arrange any work you request. Please avoid sending sensitive personal details or photographs of people and unrelated property.
Our lawful basis for handling quotation requests is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. For other enquiries and maintaining security, we rely on our legitimate interests in responding to customers and protecting our services. Where work proceeds, we also process information to perform the contract and keep records required by law.
Who receives your information
Form enquiries and photographs are sent to our private business email inbox. Our website host, IONOS, and email provider, Google, process information as part of providing those services. Access is limited to people who need the information to handle the enquiry or work. We do not sell enquiry details or add them to a marketing list.
Enquiry attachments pass through temporary website storage for processing and email delivery. They are not deliberately added to the public work gallery. Information needed for hosting and email security, such as connection details and technical logs, may also be processed by our providers.
How long we keep information
For enquiries that do not become jobs, our policy is to delete the enquiry details and photographs within six months after the enquiry closes, or sooner when no longer needed. Relevant records may be retained where needed for a legal obligation or dispute. Where work goes ahead, quotation, work and accounting records are kept for as long as required for the job, applicable record-keeping duties and resolving any claims. Backup copies may remain until the provider’s normal backup cycle expires.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or erase your information, restrict its use, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or request portability of information.
